  • Authentication credentials (managed by Supabase)
  • Usage data (number of SEC filings processed, which tickers were processed, etc.)
  • Account metadata fields such as plan, usage counters, and account status (`active` or `deleted`)
  • Generated result files and run-history records needed to provide the service

Public Data Processing

EdgarViz processes publicly available SEC filings. We do not collect or store any private financial information. All data processed comes from:

  • SEC EDGAR database (public filings)
  • Company ticker symbols and names (public information)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our visualization service
  • Process SEC filings into interactive diagrams
  • Track usage limits for your account
  • Communicate service updates and support

Data Storage and Security

Your account data is securely stored using Supabase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database services
  • SEC EDGAR: Public filing data source
  • Google Gemini LLM: For processing financial text

Data Retention

We retain account and run data while your account is active. When you use the in-app account deletion flow, we hard-delete your authentication user from Supabase Auth and mark your account metadata status as deleted. At this time, previously generated pipeline files and run-history records are retained.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account authentication record
  • Ask questions about retained run-history and generated files after account deletion
  • Export your data

Children's Privacy

EdgarViz is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date.
